If you use XModGames. You have a potential threat on your idevice's security.

As of the most recent update:
They secretly play ads to your device, without video, just audio ads.
Not only that, it will freeze your device and cause a reboot.

They are using your device to profit themselves and exploit you without your consent.


I had this happen to my device and a simple uninstall of XMODGAMES fixed the issue.

Nothing harmful. other than the reboot so far.
But they COULD have complete access of your device and I highly recommend changing the default alpine password to your choice so they cannot SSH into it. (if openSSH is installed)


Be careful and stay safe out there when downloading tweaks, even if they are trusted.

Same issue with android, but then again i rarely use this on iOS due to the lack, but you covered a major topic that goes over Mobile Gaming in general.

This is useful since many people use xmodsgames but I guess it isnt that safe.

I can not thank you enough. I uninstalled so many tweaks in attempt to find the culprit of my ipad doing this. It really frustrated me because I would be doing something then all of sudden it would freeze and go black and an ad would start playing. Thank youx1000000 for making this post.

I personally have never had any issues been using xmodgames every since it started booming.

Me neither, but I have not been using it for a while, then it started doing this.
It was kinda out of nowhere. People reporting this issue have not had it all happen at once, there seems to be a slight delay
