Solus wroteXerath wrote And to add onto what people are talking about as in "war crimes" I would rather them torture (war crime) ISIS so they know how they're treating the people who they're driving around tied to the back of their trucks, or running someone over with their somehow gotten tank.
War Crimes doesn't exist when the entire world wants you dead now. I doubt any other nation will care whether or not we torture someone who has bombed them.
Also, there is torture here in the US by police, and other members of the government.
You realize that torturing people only makes the world more angry at the US and that the US has tortured the wrong people in the past and have been given false information just so that they would stop torturing them?
Any ethically thoughtful person can see from those reasons alone that torture is not only stupid but it's reckless and pointless too.
But you've dodged the question. The war crime argument against Trump is not about torture. It's about bombing innocent people on purpose. Please defend that position.
I won't hold my breath though. Donald Trump supporters on this forum have been dodging that conversation since it came out of his mouth.
Let us not forget the thousands of innocent lives that where lost while Harry S. Truman was in office and bombed Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
Let us not forget the thousands of innocent lives that where lost while Busch covered up 9/11.
Let us not forget the thousands of innocent lives that where lost while we decide to bomb places like Syria and Iraq thinking but not knowing that these are the bad guys.
The list goes on and on of things that DID happen. You can speculate what might happen but what you are speculated has happened and will continue to happen. I agree with your first point on torture though.

I made another post about why Hiroshima and Nagasaki are not comparable to this, I'll look for it now and edit this post afterwards with a link to it [see the spoiler below], but even to assume that they are comparable, I still would not be in favor of either groups of innocents being killed.
I do not really believe that 9/11 was an inside job, and I do not want to get into that debate here, but let's assume it was, I would still be against that.
Iraq was a mistake and Syria should not have been intervened in, but even if they were both the bad guys and deserved to be intervened with, I would still be against airstrikes.
This is not speculating about whether or not Donald Trump might kill innocent people.
This is a discussion about what kind of man wants to kill innocent people, or what his justifications are for why it is necessary to kill innocent people, and if those reasons end up being unjustifiable then why would you want that man to be your president?
At the end of that discussion you will have either justified the use of lethal force against the civilian family members of ISIS, proven that Donald Trump is not a very thoughtful man when it comes to these things, or proven that Donald Trump is a psychotic killer.

One simple questions. I'm sure you've answered it somewhere in this thread but I don't want to go through everything. When did Trump say he wants to kill innocent people, or bomb them on purpose?

Personally I do not like any of the candidates. Trump to me is the lesser of all evil. Do I think he is a little ridiculous? Yes. But overall I think he fits what I believe the most.

You can interpret that a number of ways, that can go back to the whole torture idea, you see what he says as a bad thing because you're not seeing the full clip. This is just a chop off the whole story, go find the whole story. I watched this same thing on the news and basically he's looking past the fact that it's killing innocent lives and he's looking at how to torture someone who doesn't value their lives. That's what that conversation was about.
Also keep in mind something like that will never happen. The military is supposed to refuse the order to kill innocent people. I say supposed to because sometimes it does happen, however I doubt that we would go in targeting family members or the ISIS group.

I know what he was trying to get at. I recognized that he was trying to find a way to get to ISIS in another way. That way is illegal though. Whether or not our military will do it is irrelevant. A presidential candidate straight up suggested something illegal. Torture in itself is illegal. I don't think people should back a candidate who even just suggests such things. He should never be given the power of the military due to that comment.

At least he didn't do something illegal unlike Hillary. The emails and Benghazi should have ended her corrupt and unworthy political career.
Also, How do you expect to get information out of terrorist? Just keep asking them? lol no.

You're the kind of guy, I like.
That's Crooked Hillary for you, when Benghazi happened she should of been sent to jail or even took away of her political power.
