i was wondering if i added more ram (Currently have 4GB) to my pc will i get better performance in games?

Yes it will improve some performance. Depending what games you play.

Not really. It will likely bottleneck with your cpu and gpu. 8gb ram is basically the standard for requirements now in AAA pc games but just upgrading you ram isn't gonna cut it more likely than not.

It will probably slightly improve the PC's overall peformance but you might no even notice it, as for playing high demand games etc upgrading the ram isn't going to cut it. The 2 main components you are looking to upgrade are the CPU and the Graphics card although you probably don't have a dedicated graphics card installed and its most likely using on board graphics(graphics from the CPU). Personally if your thinking about PC gaming then i would just look into building your own PC instead of upgrading your current one as you would most likely have to replace the power supply etc.
