I hate how America tries to control everything! It's not our war to fight like yeah I believe ISIS should die down but it won't they keep growing and growing even if they do fall it will just create another terrorist group that's what happens all the time!
You don't win wars by letting the enemies do their own thing and hope they die out.
What's being done, needs to be done.
The problem is that you are presuming that the war needs to be waged by America in the first place.
Time and time again we are shown that bombing them only creates more terrorists.
It kills innocent people and creates more chaos and extremism.
The countries in the region need to deal with ISIS militarily by themselves.
The US and UK need to sanction countries like Turkey and Saudi Arabia who are provably helping ISIS.
That should be our involvement with the situation. Not airstrikes.

So you are against the United States being a world power? Our Airstrikes have killed countless leaders of ISIS and Al Qaeda slowing the reign down.

I wouldn't be against the US being one of the most powerful countries in the world if they used that power correctly.
I believe that the US should only use their military force for self defense, or in conjunction with other countries and organisations, like the UN, in the event of a genocide.
And yes, you can make the argument that the US is fighting a genocide by fighting ISIS, but there has to be a subjective analysis of each situation.
Is the US helping the situation? I wouldn't say so. Could the US be helping if they sanctioned Saudi Arabia and Turkey? Absolutely.
So no, I'm not 100% against the US being a world power, but they need to use that power in the right way.
It doesn't always have to be either complete peace and isolationism or all-out war.
There is a middle ground of involvement that should be considered and, in this particular case, should be attempted.

As an active duty Marine stationed in Okinawa, japan. I can say that as of right now we are not even looking to deploy units out to that area. Things may and prolly will change, but for now we arent even thinking about it out here.

Okay so I agree with you on the part we (USA) should mainly just use our military power for defense. But when it comes to a threat such as ISIS that becomes prominent in strikes internally then it is time to put them down. In war you must accept the fact of civilian casualty. Due to our airstrikes followed by drone strikes yes there is indeed a increase in civilian casualty that is greatly out numbering the terrorist casualty. So I am against those attacks in a sense, when it comes to a literal ground invasion I am all for it the Peshmerga for example do a outstanding job. Check out Funker530 on youtube or their news site or even Facebook and you will see their amazing job! So I think a proper invasion to whipe them out is in order. And yes stuff like this has gone on for many many years over there but when you attack the USA you get hammered back

I don't know yet whether I am for or against a ground invasion by US forces in particular, my gut says against but I haven't thought about it enough to have an informed opinion on what the ramifications of an action like that might be.

US air strike in Syria kills up to 85 civilians 'mistaken for ISIS fighters'
A US air strike killed more than 85 civilians, including children, in Syria on Tuesday after the coalition mistook them for Islamic State fighters.
Some eight families were hit as they tried to flee fighting in their area, in one of the single deadliest strikes on civilians by the alliance since the start of its operations in the war-torn country.
Pictures of the aftermath of the dawn strikes on the Isil-controlled village of Tokhar near Manbij in northern Syria showed the bodies of children as young as three under piles of rubble.

I've defended the inevitability of collateral damage during times of war, but this is unacceptable. This was a massacre.
