With Britain recently withdrawing from the EU and seeking independence, they will strengthen border patrol. What do you guys think will happen in NI? A referendum for unification with the republic or another period of the dark stages..

There will never be a referendum in Northern Ireland. Firstly, the majority of the population want Ireland to stay split. Secondly, the UK fought for over forty years sending troops and funding to Northern Ireland. To have a United Ireland would mean that all that money and resources would have been wasted and the UK.
Irrelavent of if you want a United Ireland or not, there's far more benefits for Northern Ireland of actually being in the UK, as opposed to being out.

The Irish economy grows by 6% every day and the U.K. Economy grows by 0.2% roughly. The money the pumped into the north was simply to expand their empire and oppress a revolution. The north has nothing to offer except a western port. A referendum is definitely on the cards as Sinn Fein have called for one.
