Just do it, if you get hurt.. sue them.

But on a more serious note, its a health and safety hazard, your employer has to provide a certain working standard and they cannot force you to put yourself at risk for something which isnt to do with the job.

If they are in fact widows or poisonous spiders as you say then your boss will have to implement certain proceedings to clear the webs and nests safely without putting employees at harm. If you aren't a privately run company you can try contacting your head office or whatever and tell them the situation, they will sort the issue with your boss.

oh hell no. If i was you everytime i seen a spider id be lighting it on fire or getting in my car and going 120mph to get away from it

Security supervisor here, and I would say yes you have to do your job, if it means getting through the webs. Personally I'm afraid of spiders, and I wouldn't walk right through a spider web. But if you can find a stick or something to break them apart, or another way around, do what you got to do as long as the job gets done. If you do get hurt, they should immediately file an incident report, and that way if you end up with hospital bills, they should be covered.

They are def not black widows. Black widows live in Africa and South America but that is part of your job so it is legal

There are no poisonous spiders the word you are looking for is venomous

And as for the question
Black widows rarely bite at all they will only bit if you try to harm them so you really have nothing to worry about

But if you happen to get bite by one on the job they are required to pay hospital bills

Black widows are found around the globe, I live in Washington and there are a lot on the east side of the Cascades.

Black widows are actually only found in the United States, southern Europe and Asia, Australia, Africa, much of South America, and from Ontario to BC in Canada (sometimes mainly during the summer)

If its not in your job description, then you do not have to do it and if you think it is unsafe take it to their boss.

TBH dude I would tell the boss to off TBH I would personally not even work there I'm not bothered about spiders but one that could really harm you I would not even want to be near.
