It depends. If you're talking about UK Netflix then I would say that House of Cards is the best show on there [I don't know if it's on US Netflix.]

It stars Kevin Spacey as US Congressman Frank Underwood who was promised a higher position in the Government by the President, but it was then given to someone else. He and his wife then decide to do anything it takes to get to the top.

They are truly ruthless and it is an incredibly well directed and well written show. The acting is top notch as you'd expect from someone like Kevin Spacey and just when you think Frank Underwood has done the worst thing a person can do he keeps raising the bar.
Frank is easily one of the most deplorable characters on television at the moment but you can't help but want him to succeed in what he is doing.

I didn't know much about the US political system going into it but it does a good job of explaining what is going on, so it's not difficult to follow.

It's one of the most critically acclaimed shows of all time and is on par with Game of Thrones and The Walking Dead for me.
