So, I'm on the market for a new laptop, as my current one can't keep up with the tasks that I'm throwing at it (primarily Music Production using FL Studio).
I'm from the UK, and I'm looking for a strong laptop that will last me a long time (5+ years). I will mainly be using it from programming, music production and light gaming.
I can get a [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] laptop for £1,100. However, it has a mobile processor which isn't as strong as the desktop alternatives. I can get a [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] with a desktop i7 6700k for only £1,300 (excluding OS and SSD). Do you think it's worth it for the extra money? I'm open for more suggestions if you guys have any more laptops in mind. I'm not fussed at all on battery life. Is there much else I should look for when buying a laptop?
Thanks for your time. :-)
