I honestly am tired of all these videos.. Tired of people claiming #blacklivesmatter. The crap is ridiculous, been seeing posts that Alton was the 116 Black guy in the US to die from the police, This could possibly be a realistic number, But to be honest, This is all just really bullshit. The same amount or more of people of other ethnicity die just as much, But why doesn't it show? Because the media blows it out of proportion. Ive seen plenty of videos where a white dude is shot and no one cares, They all say, Nice police work. Black guy gets shot and its police brutality. Not sure why this is such a issue for the last year and a half, However people believe what the media portrays, Police brutality has been around for years, Im quite sure they didn't wake up one morning and say "hey guys, Lets see how many black guys we can kill this year." People need to wake up and get off the Black lives matter train and realize Caucasians,Hispanics, Africans and other races out there are being gunned down too just as much.

If you were subduing a person that you knew had a criminal record and a firearm you would take the measures necessary to make sure you are home to see your kids the next day. You have no idea what these officers experience in a high stressed and tension situation. If you keep tasering someone then they are going to get pissed and use their force to stop it.
As I said above, they acted as if they didn't know he had a firearm. They yelled "He's got a gun" as if they thought he was unarmed.
The criminal record is completely irrelevant, the crimes were minor and nothing serious. Possession of drugs, domestic violance and that sort. It's not as if he was a convicted murderer.
I have no idea what these officers face in a high tension or stressful situation? I'm training to be a paramedic and I work doing volentary work for a local charity that helps provide medical help for free at small events and for hospitals who are lacking staff members. I've watched many people die and I've been in situations far worse than the officers, however you do what you must to save someone's life. The police officers lives are in no way, more valuable than the boy who was killed. They should only of fired at him if he fired first, or atleast drew the gun and judging by the video, he didn't even touch the gun.
Alton died, meaning that someone has lost a brother, a son, a friend. His children will never be, and their children, and the children before them. Death was a last resort. For all the officers knew, Alton was reaching done to give them his weapon. You can't just shoot someone because it looks like they're reaching for a gun. That's not right.
If you keep tasering someone then they are going to get pissed and use their force to stop it
I said, to taser him if he reached for his weapon. He's supposedly already pissed at this point so I don't think a taser would have made it any worse and it would certainly have saved his life.
What force did he have? He was being held down with only one arm free, there's no way that he could have killed both officers in that position when they're pointing guns in his face.

This world has progressed into a cruel evil place that frankly terrifies me. Criminals disguised in an authoritative outfit that hide behind a badge.

I left that out because it's such a touchy subject. I'm not even going to go into how many rapes are untrue and didn't happen and how hard it is to prove that it did happen.
Just for the record, he was registered as a sex offender because he had sexual intercourse with a fourteen year old, who he had been dating for seven months and he was only twenty back then. They both gave concent for it to happen, so it's really no big deal. She happened to get pregnant, told her mother and then he was brought to court and sentenced.
I didn't even realise he was a father of five until I read another article. I feel awful for his children having to watch their father's death on the news.

I highly doubt that he officers involved in his death knew about these since they apparently didn't even know that he was armed according to what they said.
Let me get this right, you're trying to justifiy their behaviour because he made a lot of mistakes in the past? This is a human being we're taking about here, it doesn't matter if he killed one hundred people, he still deserves to be treated accordingly.
If you have to refer to Alton's past as a defence for the way he was treated, it shows how frail your argument is.

Listen to the 911 calls, the officers were sent to the scene because Alton pointed his gun at another person and told them to never come back. He was violent before the cops showed up. Read all the facts and evidence and them come talk about this case.

Did you watch the video? They screamed "He's got a gun" and went crazy and pulled their guns on him. They didn't have their guns out before though. They were shocked when they realised he had a gun.
It's pretty clear that they didn't know he had a gun, you don't just approach an armed man, demand he gets on the floor and then taser him twice, rugby tackle him down and try to search him. Either they're complete amateurs who should be fired or they didn't know he had a gun.
I'm not sure if you're just not fully reading my posts or you can't remember them, I said multiple times what they should have done. Came up to the man, asked him to please hand over his weapon and then asked him questions. Why did they even shoot him? They had his left arm held down, all they had to do was hold down his right arm when he reached for his weapon, or just get it before he did. The man had five children, now five children will grow up without a father because two trigger-happy cops shot someone for supposedly reaching for a weapon. They killed a 350lb man with four pistol shots? Were they aiming at his arm or his head? It's pretty obvious that they shoot to kill, I don't see how two shots to his right arm isn't enough to stop him from ever using his arm again, never mind picking up and firing a weapon.
If the police just prejudged people based on their previous records, can you imagine how many people would die from swatting? Where you ring up the police, tell them that someone has shot their whole family and is armed and dangerous and gave them someone else's address and the SWAT team arrive and kick in their door. If they did shoot to kill with situations like this, then so many innocents would die.
It's extremely obvious that his death could have been prevented, I don't care if he was black, white, blue or brown. He didn't point his gun at a police officer and didn't pose an immediate death, therefore his death was unjustified. The way they tackled him to the ground and tasered him was also disgraceful.

Let this boil down a little before commenting.
I'm going to have to call bullshit on the fact that they "knew" he had a gun. They shot a man that they thought was unarmed, and then they realized he actually had a gun (which has been said multiple different times, that he didn't reach for it and gave no indication that he had a gun).
The officers got lucky, they might just not go to prison or be terminated from their jobs.
Four to six shots were fired, on a man that was thought to be unarmed. Will the officers be put in prison and put on death row? I doubt it.
But if an African-American man was to shoot a Caucasian teenage boy, and kill him, he'd be thrown in to prison, and depending on the location of the murder; be put to death.
America is one of the greatest places on the planet, these kinds of things make the entire country look like savages.
Not to mix in politics with this, but this is one of the main things that I agree with Donald Trump on, and that is to create funding, or get the funding for body cameras for every police department in the country.
