What I suggested is fine. Should be about $650 with a GTX 1060/RX 480. If you want to spend the extra $100, you can add an HDD and/or get a nicer case and/or an i5 instead of the i3.

No offence but anyone running sli 960 clearly does not know enough about pc's to be giving out advice.

No SSD in a $750 rig is pitiful. Budget PSU is baaaad. It's fine for a budget rig, but for a $750 system, a budget EVGA PSU just doesn't belong. GTX 970 is a bad option, GTX 1060 should be a better option and cheaper, and it releases in like a week. The RX 480 is a better option and is already out, and we'll have aftermarket 480s in a couple of days. 212 EVO sucks. So does the i5-6400 due to it's terribly low clock speeds. The i3-6100 will out-perform the i5-6400 in a good number of games. If OP wants an i5, then the 6500 is the best option, which he can get a 6500 and GTX 1060 within budget anyway, just swap the i3 in my suggestion for a 6500 and it will put him right at the top end of his $750 budget.

I will agree with the PSU and no SSD, (honestly i just put the list together while the server was updating at work). The 1060 would be a much better option. i was just going off what is available today. the 212 evo does not suck, for $20 there is no reason not to get it and at that price point there is nothing that comes even close to comparable for performance. I would recommend he get an i5 for the 2 extra cores. they may not make a difference in preformance but a few games currently out do require 4 cores to run and this is a trend that will only become more popular with game devs(it would suck to get a new system and not be able to play a game you want)

Fair enough but the 480 is out now and would be a better choice than a 970, although the reference card sucks but aftermarket 480s will be available in a matter of days. GTX 1060 benchmarks should be out before the card is and the card itself isn't that far off.

Its $30 with a $10 rebate. The Cryorig M9i is $20 from Newegg($20 base, not with a rebate). The M9i is newer, cheaper, performs better, and is easier to install. Be Quiet Pure Rock and Raijintek Aidos are also newer, better, and easier to install than the w12 EVO. Not sure how those 2 are priced right now, as sometimes they're unavailable or over-priced, they're worth like $25-$30 maximum. The Cryorig H7 is less than $5 more than the 212 EVO base price and is significantly better, as well as easier to install. 212 EVO is a 5 year old cooler and just isn't a good choice anymore, people over hype the cooler way too much.

This is exactly why Pentiums suck. However, this doesn't happen with the i3. Although threads aren't the same as cores, the i3 will launch games that require more than a dual core, because it has 4 threads. The only time an i5 will be a benefit is when games are terribly optimised and/or very core hungry, but the i3 is still fine. Although, as I said, OP can get an i5-6500 with what I suggested and be right at the top of his $750 budget. I just put the i3 in for a little more wiggle room. The 6400 would be a bad choice due to it's terrible clock speeds, 6500 is worth the extra $15 or so.
