Do you need a monitor, keyboard, or a mouse?

That isn't something I would typically recommend for your budget. However, you said "last me for a year until I have to upgrade to some newer parts" so I went for upgradability instead.

i3-6100 is fine, typically with this kind of budget, I'd include an i5. However, the i3 will easily last a year and that means when/if you do upgrade, you can swap out the 6100 for an unlocked Kaby Lake i5/i7 and overclock without needing a new motherboard or anything, you just need to replace the CPU and have a nice cooler for OCing. Included an 8GB stick of RAM, add another 8GB stick whenever if you want. It's cheap anyway. Included a great quality, gold rated PSU, which has more than enough wattage for XFire mid ranged GPUs(480, for example) or SLI support if you go with something like a GTX 1070 or whatever. Decent little SSD, will do for now, you'll probably want to add an HDD for mass storage at some point though. Nice case, more on the budget side but it's still a great case, and good quality. I also included a 1440p monitor since 1080p is pretty peasant grade now-a-days, and especially if you're able to upgrade within like a year easily, you should just go 1440p.

For GPU, I'll leave that up to you. You could get a low end GPU like an RX 460(when they release in a few weeks) and then upgrade to a higher end GPU later. Or, you could go with an RX 480/GTX 1060. RX 480s are about $250, aftermarket 480s will be out on the 14th and should be around $250. GTX 1060 releases on the 19th, there will be aftermarket variants available immediately(apparently) and it should cost $250-$300.
