Have you tried holding down the power button at boot? While the PS3 is off, press and hold the power button until you get a second beep, then release the button. This should reset your PS3 to use whatever component cables are connected. This is necessary when you change component cables, especially when you switch from HDMI to regular cables.I don't think its a power supply issue since you are getting a green light meaning the PS3 is turning on. If it was a bad HDD, then it would still turn on and would give you the HDD error code. And it's definitely not the ylod.

It could be a bad input connection to the motherboard or a bad motherboard. I would try the HDMI. That might do it

Also does your controller sync up to the playstation?

I tried that and it still didn't work but I'll try again but can you skype me so I can show you if I'm doing it right or wrong but when it did work it freezed when playing games so pls help me

My skype always messes up so i try to not use it anymore sorry! So you said it did work and it just froze on games?Also is this a jailbroken ps3? If your games freeze cleans your discs. Answer some of those questions and get back to me. If you are still experiencing problems this may be more of a serious issue, that may require opening your ps3 to fix.
