I have built computers before, but never a gaming pc and was just curious how well this would hold up

No, that's terrible. Haswell makes no sense, nor does GTX 970. Case is old and poor, and their is absolutely no way in he'll a shitty budget 400W unit belongs in a $1k budget.

What is your max budget and currency?
