I have an issue with Pokmon go, whenever I go into battle I get a black screen and the app crashes, sometimes it crashes late giving me one shot at catching the Pokmon, I have missed out on hundreds of Pokmon because of this. Any help is appreciated.
P.s,
I have tried:
Re-installing app
Updating app
Creating new account
Using Gmail and Pokmon accounts
Turned on and off low battery mode

What phone are you using and how long has this been going on for? If it was happening with the past few hours, it's due to server issues as Pokemon GO was just released in 20-30 countries and a lot of people have been kicked out or game freezes when trying to catch Pokemon, in which then they're greeted with the screen letting them know the servers are down.

I have the iPhone 4S which is strong enough for the game as my friends play it fine and now and then it works okay, but I have had the issue since release

Apparently you're not the only one seeing issues with the 4S and Pokemon GO.

This step in the topic is was seems to have helped some users (though right now won't matter as servers are still down lol.)

this is from /u/verybrokestudent:

Hey, about the loading issue, I've found that if you do this, it'll work much more often (around 90% of the time):

-Force quit the application (not sure if that's what it's called- double tap home button, swipe the app up)

-Turn on aeroplane mode

-Open the app again and let it load until you get a red bar at the top that says something along the lines of no wifi/mobile

-Swipe up from bottom of screen to access Control Centre (without shutting the app)

-Turn off aeroplane mode and/or turn on wifi

Similary for mobile data:

-Turn on mobile data, then aeroplane mode

-Open app

-When the gyarados screen says no internet connection or something, turn off aeroplane mode via the control centre

This is most likely because you have a device like and iPod 5 16G that has a hard time handling better graphics and such.

Any luck with that? The servers seem to have stabled out now where you could try that without it getting stuck in the loading screen.
