So alot of people have been getting a error message when downloading a xbox 360 profile, the profile download stops a quarter of the way and a error message pops up.
How to fix this:
Sign in on xbox.com, you may need to verify it's you and you can choose to get a verification code sent to your email or phone, once fully signed in you can then proceed to sign in on the xbox, i've tried this method multiple times and there's not reason why it shouldn't work.

This wouldn't work with glitched accounts. if you don't know what that is but it's where you try searching the tag but it will say it doesn't exist and it will say the tag is available but when trying to claim it with say it's taken on the website but say an error has occurred on console. you can only play on glitched accounts on the one but not backwards compatibility. the only way to fix it from being Glitched is by changing your gamertag.

Unsure about this, the main reason for the cause is a new location and all you need to do is verify yourself on xbox.com. i also had a glitched tag which you couldn't search i contacted microsoft and all i had to do was update my billing information and bam i was able to search it again, maybe you should try that. But if your able to search your tag i know that this 100% works
