Depending on if I'm doing something and need to be up at a specific time I'd set an alarm which is most days although my body usually wakes itself up a couple minutes before my alarm goes off.

Only need it when I have to be up at a certain time or I will definitely not wake up
Like sometimes I wake up at 2-8 in the afternoon ffs.

I find if I set a alarm clock I won't wake up at all but if I don't and I need to get up I normally wake up about a hour early, sounds mad but it's true.
