Considering there is a large portion of members and botters on TheTechGame that are not on the corresponding Discord chats, they may not have received the recent news regarding NecroBot and Haxton, as well as the bans. Here are statements from staff members of both projects, [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] & [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] .

Necronomicon wrote @everyone Due to legal action being started against other bot creators/devs (we did not receive a letter yet) the Project development will be stopped. All Source Files / Downloads will be removed. We now have to say Good Bye to the awesome Community. Over 100k Members on Discord and 500k Downloads a day! The Discord Community will remain open for Discussions. It was fun, we had a nice time. Thank you for the Donaions, all Devs will be getting their share by today.

ziggy wrote @everyone Alright chat is closed right now due too much cancer, the bot for now is closed due to xyz having to stop working on the project, clustering is down right now so even when the servers are stable the bot won't work like before. If people wish to they can fork the project off where xyz left off, he left the latest source code on github before he discontinued the project

Thanks to xyz for all the hard work he put into the bot alone, and thanks to the ones who donated to help with server costs and to the rest of the community who loved using this bot.

It has also come to my attention that many people are running into issues and little bugs with their bots. The developers and staff of Necro & Haxton are no longer providing support to those having trouble due to the fact that they no longer are working on the project. Rumor has it that it will be forked over to other developers who may, in time, solve these problems.

I do not work for either of these projects, so discrepancies may arise around the legitimacy of these facts. Please do not post them here as I'm only informing my fellow members of TheTechGame.

There are also a large number of bans occurring, which have been reported in some of the bot slack channels. While I'm not positive they're permanent yet, it's better to be safe than sorry. To clear up and attempt to prevent inevitable future confusion, there are several types of bans currently being handed out:

IP bans (tied to IP address) - There are now two types of IP bans.

  • Soft IP ban: Temporary ban of the IP address but not the account. All accounts on the IP will be unable to see Pokestops and Pokemon. Usually goes away after 20 mins (give or take) of not accessing the Pokemon GO API from that IP.
  • Hard IP ban: Permanent ban the IP address. This happened to cloud providers like AWS. You can't log in or access Pokemon GO at all from the banned IP. This does not go away.

Account bans (tied to Google or PTC account) - There are now multiple types of account bans.

  • Soft Ban: Account-specific, time until unban variates.

    • Pokestops give no loot, and Pokemon always flee. (This is the original soft ban.)
    • Spinning a Pokestop works as normal, but Pokemon flee instantly. (Added today)
    • Pokemon don't spawn. (Added recently)

  • Hard ban: Permanent ban [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] . This is the new ban that botters have been getting. If you get a login error, it doesnt mean youre banned for sure, but if you were botting or teleporting and you can't log in on that account from any IP, and you can use other accounts - good chance thats a hard ban.

Also, with the current ban situation, it has been been pointed out [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] that you should not use any bot, even if it is working for you. This includes, but is not limited to, Haxton, NecroBot, PokeMobBot, Pokesniper2, PogoLocationFeeder, PogoAccountMaker, etc. However, you're free to do as you please, at your own risk of course. You have been warned.

How to circumvent an IP ban (credit to fokeiro on OwnedCore.com)
1) Download [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

2) Install the program.

3) Whilst your bots are CLOSED, open the VPN client.
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

4) Click 'VPN Gate Public VPN Relay Servers'
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

5) Find a server and connect to it! (if you get an error find another server). It's possible that you'll get an error at some servers, just keep trying.

6) If you're connected, open up your bots (this may be very slow) and let it farm Pokestops for a couple minutes.

7) You should now be unbanned! Either you can close the program after 5 minutes because your own IP will be unbanned, or you can simply leave the program running.

However, If you leave the program running and the server crashes NecroBot will probably also crash.

For those of your familiar, clustering is down which is why [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] at the moment.
With that being said, most bots (if not all) won't be working anyways.

Update: PokeMobBot, unlike others, [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] . Follow their [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] to stay up-to-date.
DurtyFree (staff of MobBot) made a statement this afternoon about the current Niantic ban situation and what the MobBot developer team is doing to make their bot more "undetected".

DurtyFree wrote @everyone Yes, we are aware of bans occuring. Currently, there has been no official Press Release by Niantic. Yet we are pretty sure it is a banwave. Currently it appears that the best way to verify if your account(s) have been banned, is to log in the mobile application. If you recieve a message stating that you failed to recieve any information, and are unable to login, this may be a ban. It is NOT CONFIRMED yet, but we highly believe it is. Our dev team is hard at work making the bot safer. Such as dynamically generated routes that follow the road correctly. For now, it is suggested that to prevent any further bans, you bot in a location near the IP/proxy you are using, increase delays to human values (Use your brain for this. Delays are in milisecconds), enable Humanization features and limit/remove sniping. We will keep working towards a safer, undetected bot. We can never make any promises, but we will try our best. Bans were expected. We simply have to tough through it and keep working on.

Update: It appears as though Niantic has implemented a [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] to their website. More information to come.

Update: It appears as though Pokemon Go bot developers spoke up earlier this morning on their efforts to pinpoint the reason people are having problems. Their statement is [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] .

Lisiano wrote Hey @everyone.

Due to the large influx of people claiming problems with their accounts and devices, we'd like you to fill out this Google Form: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] (FOV fixed link, was showing up as TheTechGame)

This will help us try to pinpoint where and why the problem is happening, try to find a pattern in the problem and maybe find a solution if one exists. To see the results of this pool, you can either click See results on the Google Form once finished or by following this link: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
If you wish to see the answers directly, go here to see the Google Sheet: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

Thank you.

Update: There is a circumvention for [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] Necrobot error, following said shutdown. (Necrobot Client for Pokemon GO has stopped working)

Refer to my thread here.

Update: Some new ban information, unconfirmed.
Soft ban
Caused by jumping location.
Unable to spin pokestops/catch pokemon/fight in gyms.
Avoid it by either not jumping locations too quickly or by waiting before jumping there.
A good estimate of how long you should wait is how long it would take to get there by flight.
Can be bypassed by spinning a pokestop 1-50 times.

Capture ban
Caused by capturing more than 1000 pokemon in under 24 hours.
Unable to capture pokemon.
After ever hour, if your total pokemon in the last 24 hours is below the ban threshold, you'll be unbanned, If you surpass that threshold, you'll be banned again.
Potential bypass by throwing missing pokeballs 15-30 times.

Pokestop ban
Caused by using more than 2000 pokestops in under 24 hours.
Unable to use pokestops.
After ever hour, if your total pokestop uses in the last 24 hours is below the ban threshold, you'll be unbanned, If you surpass that threshold, you'll be banned again.
No public way to bypass.

Temp IP ban
Caused by too many requests from the same IP.
This ban prevents any MapObjects from being returned. (unable to find pokestops error)
Will last anywhere from 10 minutes to a few hours depending on severity.
Can be bypassed by using proxies.

Login Error ban
Possibly caused by login into multiple accounts with the same DeviceId.
Potential bypass when you change DeviceId.
Not much is known about this type of ban.

My own two cents of all this: DO NOT BOT RIGHT NOW.

More information will be added to this thread ONLY as it becomes available. I worked very hard on this so surely I will keep it updated.

Honestly i knew i would be banned and it doesn't bother me at all. Niantic is really just an awful developer really. They refuse to accept the fact that Pokemon go is broken and horrid.

But hey, at least I managed to catch them all before I was banned anyways (except for legendaries obviously). Which is really the only real point of the game.

Yeah to be honest I don't even care. The game got pretty boring near the end anyways.
