I went with the v moda crossfade m-100
Type: over ear
Price: $250-300
Pros: Durable, great sound, foldable, cables ill last a few years
Cons: I have big ears so I spend an extra $25 on the larger ear cups
I listen to rap and chill beats. These have amazing bass and have great durability. They come with a case, 1 aux, and 1 aux splitter in case you have a friend who wants to listen to the same tunes. I got mine for $250 on the Microsoft store and I would recommend over some $400 headphones. PM me if you want more info

Budget - Maximum of $50
Source - PC and iPhone
Requirements for Isolation - Isolation is not much of a problem, will be using at home most of the time.
Will you be using these Headphones in Public? Yes
Preferred Type of Headphone - IEMs!
Preferred tonal balance - Want overall balanced headphones, but a little bass never hurt anyone
Past headphones - Haven't used any IEMs worth mentioning, best i've purchased were NarMoo R1M's and i like the bass but the quality wasn't all there. Also worth mentioning i don't have an amp nor have i ever owned one, i know nothing about high quality audio so don't roast me too hard.
Preferred Music - Listen to rap, hiphop, r&b, and a little rock here and there.
What would you like to improve on from your set-up - Looking for some that will last me a long time, don't know anything about amps and all that stuff so if you could shine some light it would be appreciated i'm a huge noob.
Sidenote: The headphones need to have a in line mic! Might be using them for calls and such.
Pulled this format from a reddit post i also made, if any other information is needed let me know!
Thanks for any help at all.

Budget - £0-£50 (I know things are tight but want a decent pair if possible)
Music preference - listen to all sorts, rap, hip hop, dubstep, drum n bass, rock.
Type - in ear (the bud type not the ones that go around your ear)
Open/closed - closed
Listening from - iPhone 6 (upgrade due in Feb to either iPhone 7 plus or galaxy s7 edge)
I would like them to be portable. Durable to some extent as I work as a landscape gardener and will be using at work. Will not be used for gaming or any other purposes other than listening to music on my iPhone. A mic/volume
Controls/playback (pause skip previous) controls would be a plus but is not a necessity.
Good isolation would be ideal and they need to be quite loud as I can work with lawnmowers and blowers etc. This was one thing I found half decent about the ibeats as I could still hear the music. Judging from what I've read here I'm hoping you can find me something better
Coming from a pair of ibeats, (got them for cheap on sale online for £16.99) and have lasted me since June. Help me
Haha

Hey guys, thanks for any help in advance.
**Budget**: $200 CAD
**Source**: Primarily my phone (HTC one), computer. I might grab an amp if it will help while on the computer, but I still need it to function well on a phone.
**Requirements for isolation**: Closed back. Will mostly use them at home but would rather not have people hear what I'm listening to. (Supposedly better for bassy songs?)
**Will they be used in public**: No
**Preferred type**: Full size.
**Tonal balance**: V orU shape, thumping bass without being muddy, detailed highs but not overpowering. I found the srh840 had good treble but was lacking in bass.
**Genre**: Progressive house (something good for deadmau5) , Drum and Bass, some pop
**Past headphones**: $10 pair of Panasonic IEM's. Unless it's over 50% volume everything is just flat, super hyped to get a good pair.
**What would you like to improve**: Something I can wear without getting to warm on the ears (1-2 hrs), decent isolation, comfortable unless I can get replacement pads. A cable that won't make noise if it's rubbed against.
**Location**: Canada
I've refined my options to the CAL2 , HD380, HFI780, SM HP150,HFI580, and jvc HA-SZ2000. Any input on these cans is very appreciated, I've only started learning about all of this in the past few days and it seems like one headphone works better than the other when I read about them again.
