I'm an Active Duty 15R (AH-64D Apache Attack Helicopter Mechanic) I am also in a Cavalry Unit and a Crew Chief, and Logistical Specialist. I can answer most of any question you have about the US Army, or lead you in the right direction. I would suggest researching different Military Occupational Specialties in each branch to first deem if you're ready for such a decision, and secondly (if you decide you are), which job you'd like to shoot for. Of course your selection is also going to depend on the line scores of your ASVAB (Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery). It's certainly a great choice, but be sure to examine everything; talk to your parents, and do your research prior to stepping foot into a recruiting office, and contact any one of us Military (there are quite a number of us here on the site) with any questions you may have; and we will be honest with you. I'd only join the military if you genuinely want to, not because you fell behind in credits.
If you don't want to spend an extra year in high school, which I think you should, you could just get a GED and go to college.

Research your paths very carefully and make sure this is something you definitely want to do otherwise you'll absolutely hate it.

Personally I don't think you should, but in the end it's totally up to you bud.

I'm from the UK so the military is kinda different but I would recommend it, going into something like the Air Force offers you a starting training salary of £16,000 and after training that gets risen depending on your trade. You also get to travel the world and meet new people but it's not suited for all people.
