And when I say messed up, I mean completely messed up.

It has happened to me, horrible experience.

My school had a very strict rule on nothing under a grade 2. I asked for a 2 and came out with a 0.5, I liked it but it got me a week in isolation and two week's detention.

Not at a barber shop but worse.

My mum is a qualified barber but we was in Germany after just been transferred to a new base. The clippers have the complete opposite grade scale so i think a grade 1 is 6 and vice versa. So my mum did a UK grade 1 straight down the middle of my head.... So basically I was a skin head for a while moving to a new school age 7.

Not my hair but i had a haircut, it was a good one but i have a beard too.. The barber continued from around my ears and took off an entire sideburn.

I say sideburn because he didn't touch the other one, so i left not knowing i had one half of my face with hair, and the other with non

Every haircut isn't going to be the best, I've gone to the same person for over two years. Some are really great, some are average, and then some just leave you disappointed. If you have this problem more then a few times try talking to the person who cuts your hair and tell them exactly what you want, go in depth. After all it is your hair.

The barber was around 70ish, he went to trim the top of my hair and slipped leaving me with a complete shaved line down the middle of my head

Yep, I have very curly hair and my hairline is very weird + I have a minor widows peak so everytime and I mean EVERYTIME i get a haircut (which is 2 times a year) they always give me a shitty edgy that isnt straight. I also ALWAYS have loose hairs that stick out because my hair is so curly, when its short you can see loose bits that arent level with the rest of my hair.. I dont even go to the same barber. I have had all different kinds of people cut my hair and no one seems to be able to give me what I actually ask for. Im not even joking the next time I need a haircut im doing it myself..

Almost every haircut I get turns out so bad lol.
Even when I try to explain in detail what I want to the barber, it's like it goes in one ear and out the other.
