So I'm doing another build and this is the first time I'm wanting input on another build. My reason is the 1080 vs the whole 1070. I posted a topic a few days ago, in which Sanctorum posted a pretty detailed reply as to why the 1070 should be chosen over the 1080. With that in mind, I've decided to opt for SLI 1070's instead of the SLI 1080's I was going to get. This is going to be used for 4k gaming as much as possible which is why I'm posting this topic; as I want to get as much as I can out of the 1070's for that option to play. I'm pretty set in stone as terms for case and mobo, however if there is another x99 mobo that will give significant increase in performance, I will no problem change it out. Budget wise, I don't really have one, however that doesn't mean I want some stuff I don't need such as the i7-6950X or 64 GB RAM.

So a few notes.

I chose the Diamond thermal compound as it's the best I've personally used. I know a bunch of Arctic Silver fanboys are going to jump on that, but back when I was using the H100 series for water cooling, when I compared the Arctic Silver to Diamond, the Diamond was 7c cooler, so it's stuck with me ever since.

The SSDs, I'm getting one as a 128 GB as that's going to be for my OS only. Not planning on installing anything else, except for Windows files. The other SSD will be for games I want fast loading speeds, such as Fallout, Battlefield, Overwatch, ect; where as the HDD is just for putting games I don't care about fast loading speeds.

750D, I eventually will watercool the GPUs, so I want as much space as possible for when that time comes, plus it gives me much more room for cooling options.

Blu-Ray Optical Drive, ehh, why not, colour looks like it'll match with the 750D the best, yes I can get one that is cheaper, but it's not too big an issue for me.

Sentry fan controller, never actually used one in a current build. I have used one in the past in a build I sold, so I wanted to actually use one more than once and figured to put one in. If I don't like it, I can take it out and slap it into another build, so no harm there.

No need to spend so much on a motherboard. RAM is over-priced. 850 PRO SSD's are terrible, they're barely better than the 850-EVO, but are significantly more expensive. WD Black HDD's are a total rip off. The 750D is a pretty terrible case. It's huge, unnecessarily huge and it's priced too high for what it is. In terms of internals, it's pretty lackluster in features compared to cheaper cases, like the Enthoo Pro. No need to spend so much on PSU either.

Enthoo EVOLV ATX is a nice alternative case. Enthoo Pro and Enthoo EVOLV ATX both have more than enough room for a full large custom water loop, absolutely no need to get the 750D for that.

Looks pretty solid. The main reason I chose the 750D is because of the size of the case. After looking at the other cases you linked, I can see more than enough room for watercooling the GPUs; however the 750D has just a little more eye openers to me. The SSD mounts on the back of the motherboard panel is a huge interest for me and the fact that the top of the case has a removable vent mesh where as the Enthoo Pro is a built in venting mesh, which I honestly try to stray away from since removable ones are much easier to clean. The Enthoo EVOLV ATX would honestly be my choice, just unless I missed something, in order to use the optical drives, I would have to remove the whole front panel? I also read that in using the optical drives, negates the use of a radiator on the top of the case. If that information is wrong, I would get that case over the 750D.

Quick question regarding the fans. The Pure Wings fans, were those put for intake, exhaust or a radiator? I put on the HP14's since the fan blades are much thicker and have that "scooping" curve so I could mount that to the radiator to push air through the rad much more effectively, since the rad is going to be on top of the case. The HF14's I'm using as my exhaust and intake, however if the Pure Wings will do a better job at either radiator or exhaust/intake, I'll grab those instead.

The 750D is just unnecessarily large and doesn't come with anywhere near the amount of features/quality the Enthoo Pro does, and the Enthoo Pro is cheaper. You'll be able to use 240/280mm radiator's in the Enthoo EVOLV ATX with a 5.25" bay occupied. I'm not sure exactly what size rads will fit with the occupied 5.25" bay, so you may need to double check, but you will at least be able to fit radiator's in there as well. If you do want to fill up the space with rads, you can just get an external optical drive. I'd definitely recommend the EVOLV ATX over the 750D.

I just put the Pure Wings fans in because they're great, and very quiet. I'd probably get a couple of HF14's for the AIO, and use Pure Wings elsewhere. They're all solid choices for fans though.

The 5820k and 6800k are essentially the same CPU, the 6800k just has an inflated price tag because it's 'newer'. You suggested a worse cooler, the Kraken X61 is a significantly better AIO than the H100i V2.
