I want to go into 1440p, but i need some pro's and cons before i do.

I have a 980ti and a i7 6700K and i feel i am wasting them on 1080p.

After i hear some peoples opinions, then i will make a decision on what to do.

I will also be upgrading my PSU to a 750W EVGA G2

Ha, straight to the point.

If i was to upgrade from a 23" 1080p monitor, should i go bigger screen wise or should i stick at 23"?

EDIT: For cheaper, someone is offering me a 4K monitor for cheaper than i can get a 1440p one for, my main question is, (Because some games might not be smooth for me in 4k)

If i was to set the resolution on games to 1440p or even 1080p if the game is too poorly optimised, how would that look on the 4k monitor?

Just make sure to get an IPS panel. 1440p, I'd look at sizes from 24"-27". For 4k, anything lower than 27" will be weird. 4k would be objectively better because you can run games at 1080p or 1440p instead if you want. With 1440p, you can run at 1080p if you want. 1080p on a 1440p panel or 1080p/1440p on a 4k panel will look fine, maybe slightly better as higher end monitors are typically better quality.

The monitor itself is this one : HP Z27s
The fella said it's a 27" 60Hz 6MS 4k IPS Monitor. Which sounds pretty good

And thank you for answering my question here, I searched up online and too many different answers.

The last question is, for £150, is this monitor worth it?

It's a perfectly fine monitor. However, for £150, that sounds way too good to be true.

It's a refurbished monitor with 12 months warranty, if it arrives faulty or what not. I can get my money back straight away without any problems.
