Sometimes its hard to get dogs from centers to be comfortable with you.
Cause a lot of the time they come from bad homes and are scarred, thinking every human being is gonna hurt them or abuse them.
My friend had a dog once from a rescue center & whenever you would raise your hand the dog thought you were going to attack her.
It's really sad honestly.
I don't get how you can abuse your pet like that.

Exactly mate, it makes me sick on how someone can actually make a pet feel like that, absolutely horrible

My friend rescued a "friendly" Rottweiler from a shelter bc he wanted to save the planet
Ended up getting 28 stitches on his arm after 2 days of having him
I personally enjoy raising a dog from the start and that way I know they aren't mentally f*cked or will attack me in the future
Can't save the world m8

Go to a dog pound or something (these are the jackasses that patrol the neighborhood for loose dogs). After so long of having a dog it goes up for sale or gets killed.

The best place is a shelter in my opinion.
All shelter animals need a home before they get euthanized.
I know most shelter pets have been abandon or abused(which sickens me), but they need to all be put in caring homes because euthanizing them also sickens me.

I got my dog from a breeder on a farm. She has spent her whole life with us and she is the nicest dog ever, she's been treated so well!! I'd suggest getting in contact with a breeder if you want a clean dog, with a clean past. That's your best bet
Good luck

I would just get a puppy and raise it yourself, I get that you want to give a dog that didnt get the best of starts to life, but sometimes this isnt the best idea. Good luck!
