I currently have a geforce gt 630, and I'm looking top upgrade to something better than that. I understand specs, but still get quite confused when looking at everything. I can and will post more information about my rig if needed. My budget is about $150, but I can stretch a bit if you think it's worth it to spend more.

What are the rest of your specs? Download Speccy and post a screenshot. We'll also need to know the make and model of both your case, and PSU. What do you want to achieve with this upgrade?

Those are my specs, I primarily play games such as cs:go, but I'd like to play games that are a little bit more graphic intensive(compared to cs:go) such as fallout 4 at around low/medium settings, and my case is a cooler master elite 431. I bought the computer pre-made, because at the time I was worried about messing up on building it.
Edit* on the side of the power supply it says that the max usage is 350w, if I need to upgrade that, I can do that too

You'll more than likely need a new PSU. Pre-built with a 350W PSU is likely terrible quality. SSD can be bought later, it's just a suggestion because you should add one when you can as you don't have one. RX 460 isn't great, it's a budget card, but it will be a lot better than your current GPU. If you can spend more, try to get a 3GB or 6GB GTX 1060.

So now my question is, do I need the ssd? like what are the benefits?

you dont need one,it make your computer boot up faster if your o/s is on it or games will load faster,thats all

SSD's are pretty much a must have these days. They're significantly faster than an HDD, so you should at least have an SSD for your OS and a couple of games. You don't need to get it right now, but you should add it asap.
