Hi, the game I am talking about in my post is League of Legends.

I looked up MMR up but I still don't feel like I have a complete understanding to it. Could someone explain in to me in a simple way?

I also had a question about when you drop a rank. I read somewhere that the amount of games you you can lose before you get demoted, depends on the MMR that you have. So if there was a Plat 5 player at 0 LP, he wouldn't get demoted to Gold 1 until his MMR gets to that. Is this true? I ask because I hit Silver 5 yesterday and I lost 2 games at 0 LP. I didn't drop a rank but I am worried about dropping.

I want to get better at the game, and Idk if knowing this info will help me, but I definetely would like an understanding regardless.

Just Some Background Info about me and League
I started taking ranked more serious when I started to duo with my friend. When I started I was in bronze 3 and my friend was either silver 3 or 4. (My friend hit Silver 1 when I got to Silver 5) My MMR got up to 1,335 when I was higher up in Bronze 3 and I think that's around Silver 4 or something like that. Even though I would go against people higher than me, I would still be able to help my team and do good usually, so I feel like I do belong in silver. But it seems like I was getting better team mates when I was still in Bronze. I'm not trying to say that I am able to win lane every game, because I am still learning and I still do make mistakes. (Some being really bad ) It just felt like every team member I had did really good until I got in to silver, even though I was playing with Silver team mates and going against silver players.
