Wait, how is eBay shady? I've boughten dozens of items off of eBay and never had any issues. If you don't get your item you simple get your money back, and most likely you will be buying from a reputable seller.

ebay is shady to me because i have been scammed, ever since then i have always thought that and probably will never buy another thing off of there

Damn thats crazy, you at least got your money back right? I've never had problems with eBay and think of it as good as Amazon in terms of how legitimate are the sellers. I'm not sure, you have to be smart who you buy from and look at feedback.

Craiglist is a pretty good place, if you live in a large city. Every six weeks, or end of semester, check there. A lot of parents sell of consoles cheap as punishment. My friend got a barely used Xbox One for $100, including a few games. He's had it for a while and no issues.
