I probably won't end up purchasing the OS, because I'm still trying to find it cheaper elsewhere.
Also, don't bash on me for the optical drive. I have a lot of old school games on discs I used to play when I was younger that I want to reminisce on.

Special thanks so Sanct for really revamping the build. Last time I posted, he pointed out a lot of things that were helpful.

The build looks good, you can save some money by buying the windows 10 pro key from G2A or Kinguin. One thing you might have overlooked it you bought a wireless N network card. AC network is the new standard and way faster.

A bit out of my budget.

EDIT: My current motherboard supports 2-way SLI so there's no reason I would need to spend the extra money.

Thanks. I'll probably do that, but if I already have a PC running Windows 10, is there any way I can get it free using that PC?
Regarding the wireless card, if I find it's too slow I'll probably pick up a newer one. This one was only $40. Any suggestions for a better one though?

750 g2 is not much more, gives you the option to sli in the future without having to buy another psu. If you have no plans to then stick with 550.

You've got a motherboard and GPU that supports 2 way SLI. 650W is enough for 2 way SLI GTX 1070s so get an EVGA 650W G2, 650W GS, or 650W GQ. Do not get an EVGA 650W G1(NEX), those are horrific units. There's no need to be spending that much on RAM. 32GB is not necessary, 16GB would be fine. However, even if you were to get 32GB, spending almost $200 for it is an absolute waste. No need to spend more than $120-$130 for 32GB. Just get 2x8GB for $60-$70 though, and then you can easily add another 2x8GB at any point for 32GB total, if you want to.

I switched out my power supply to the EVGA 650W GS, thanks for the tip. The 32GB of RAM is a must for me. I will be running After Effects, Cinema 4D, Photoshop, Illustrator, Elgato software, OBS, Steam, browsers, etc all at the same time while achieving maximum RAM previews and lightning fast editing/designing/rendering speeds. I don't mind spending the money on it, as it's one of the more important things I need.

What would be considered retail? I downloaded it when Windows 10 came out and I got the free upgrade from Windows 7.
Also, thanks for the link. I'll order one just in case.

retail would be a boxed version that you bought that came with the USB installer or disk. oem is a copy that came with a machine pre-installed or designed to be activated once and only stay activated with that motherboard. I would return the wireless N card that you bought.

Don't pay $180 for 32GB RAM. Seriously, it's a huge waste of money. You can easily get a nice 4x8GB or 2x16GB kit for $130.
