I just got my new ps4 slim. I just booted it up and the start screen came up saying to plug the usb cable into my controller and press the PS button. But it won't work. Nothing i do will get my controller to work and it's bad because it's on the very first start screen so i can't do anything.

the xbox one was a fail system does that mean im going to bash it no they did one thing right made the 360 games playable on it but the design is god awful am i going to bash it no cause i own both consoles(1st gen ps4) and the xbox s i prefer the ps4 more due to its nicer looking and they dont charge taxes on the member ship and games, op are you sure you are pressing the ps button also theres a little button on the back that you may need to poke with a long thin needle well you press the ps button and the controller flashes

have you tried wiring it directly to the console and also power cycling the ps4?
