what do sunglasses do in general? Keep your eyes from becoming strained, is it that hard to understand.

They are a glare/strain reducing pair of glasses. They also work well for guys like me in the networking field as I have to stare at a computer screen for most of the day. They help eliminate that headache or eye soreness you can get from staring at screens.

Apparently they're good for eye-strains and headaches but I haven't received either of those issues playing video games in over 3 years.

Some gaming glasses are comfortable to wear with a headset also. To help with those who need glasses to see.

Man what a terrible post even if it was sarcasm :I
They help filter excess blue light among other things.

They help relieve/prevent eyestrain and headaches by having a yellow tint to the lenses, however they're utterly pointless because f.lux exists and does the exact same thing but via software and it's 100% free and even available on certain phones. [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] You can also change the color of your screen with f.lux and it automatically changes itself to suit the time of day, so that if it's day time it's less straining by using a different color and if it's night time it's a different color.
TL:DR DO NOT BUY THEM, WASTE OF MONEY.
