Some people have a completely **** up way of thinking. I live in Florida and here I have people wishing that this hurricane slams us so that they don't to go to school/work. WTF? Do you not realize that people could lose their homes due to flooding? Hell, some people might even die and there are people literally begging for a category 4 storm to destroy the city so that they can be lazy. Man, some people really need a reality check...

Hey I live in FL too man. Anyway, yeah im sure you remember Hurricane Wilma.. it actually left me and my family homeless for about a year. We got help from FEMA but they ended up screwing us. Anywho yeah ive heard people saying this too, I dont understand it either. Its like those people that want a nuclear holocaust to happen so that they can live in some kind of romantic toxic wasteland, yeah I dont get it.
People are goofy, what can you do.

While I agree with you that asking for it to hit is kind of extreme just to miss work and school, you live in Florida and tropical weather there is pretty common so the chances of it hitting are higher there compared to somewhere else.

Yeah whoever wants to get hit by a storm is a little crazy. I love storms and would love to see a hurricane don't get me wrong, but I wouldn't be wishing for it to destroy everything so that I could be lazy.

I agree with you here, what can you do really when people are that messed up in the head, nothing really? Yes it's okay to miss couple of days from school/college but then you have to catch up on work so people REALLY want to miss education? Also to add on before I forget, hurricanes are scary and frightening to think about. Not only people will see their homes getting destroyed. Your life is on the line when these things happen. The world is pretty dumb they say people say these days. I don't live in the USA so I'm very lucky I don't see or hear things like this where I'm from.

They aren't messed up they just aren't thinking about the full scope of the situation. Pretty common for people to have a self centered view as well.

I have to agree with you, its messed up that someone would wish for something so terrible to happen just for their pure laziness so that they don't have to go to school or work, but in the end those are the people that will lose the most in life because they have no will to work or achieve and that doesn't take you very far in leading a successful life. Its frustrating to hear especially for those who have actually lost their homes or family members but all you can really do is ignore it and that sucks,

I haven't seen any posts or anything with people saying this, however it does show they are very immature and if they lost their house or car their opinion would change very quickly

Go scroll through social media and you'll see plenty of people saying these kinds of things.
