After a break up we all have emotions that need to be dealt with, women more so than men. Women might call you up weeks or months after the break up to tie up loose ends so she feels better. That might be what she's doing.

There is also NOTHING wrong with being friends with your ex. All that means is that you both were mature enough to know that you like each other, however can't deal with each other on an extended basis so you stop dating to save your friendship. Again, nothing wrong with it.
