So I have a 250B External harddrive that I use for my music and photoshop stuff and other general things that I would like to transport around with me when I go travelling.
So I went to plug it into my desktop (running Windows 10) And it just wont show up at all, the harddrive works and is spinning when plugged in, however when I plug it into my Macbook it takes a dgood 2 minutes to show up but it will eventually show up on my mac
Anyone give me a bit of guidance ?

Open Disk Utility on your Mac and see what format the drive is and what its model number is.
The format may be unreadable in Windows. You should still be able to see the drive in Windows Disk Management even if it doesn't show up in explorer.
If you can tell me the manufacturer, I can link you a diagnostic tool that can check the health of the drive.
