Looking to get a nice MIC for around 150GBP! If possible try and fit a Stand in with the budget! All help is appreciated!

I'd go with a condenser setup for that much cash.

The best (imo), the Audio-Technica AT2020 if you're about name brand and great quality.

If brand isn't important, i'd go with a BM-800 or an NW-800. If you're not running a top 10 podcast, you should be good.

This one is an audio interface and comes with a built in phantom power supply to power and manage the mic.

There are so many condensers on the market, just find one you like. But remember; condenser mics need phantom power for best performance, and an audio interface to plug the XLR in.

If you have any questions, I can try my hardest to help.

I'm no audiophile, this is all by what I've learned (:

I am looking to use to mic to talk to friends with and maybe the occasional stream. Would you say that Mic is better than the Yeti? As i recently had it but friends was telling me it sounded shit so i returned it. Also Don;t know a lot about mics xd So what does the condenser really do?

Condensers have a great frequency response and a loud output so it should sound loud and clear. I'd say the Audio-Technica is better but I couldn't say for the BM or the NW.

I find the Blue Yeti is one of my all time favorites. Perfect quality and 0 bugs when recording or talking with friends. It has different settings for what you're doing such as interviews or commentary, etc. For more details of this mic just head onto their website [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

Have you considered a headset instead of the generic microphone which gamers/streamers are suddenly buying?
