When its connected with the USB without the battery pack it cant be found yet with the battery pack it picks it up and then the download fails. Has anybody got a solution to the issue?

i have yet to have this issue i would suggest contacting support on microsoft

Try hard resetting your Xbox and clearing the cache.

Try pressing the button on the top of the controller and thr buttion on the side at the same time. Might just be that.. i had the same problem becasue didnt have a battery pack and only a USB cable to use

Is it a Xbox play and charge kit by chance?
