Not sure if this is the right forum for this but

I recently purchased an elgato, but my monitor doesnt support HDMI am i still able to use the elgato if i get a DVI to HDMI cable?

I'm not 100% sure but from what I personally believe, I've never noticed any different between DVI and HDMI in terms of gaming/general computer use but seems it's an Elgato it could affect it I guess?

As long as you have a good quality converter I don't see there being any issues... but from what I've seen online in the past some games and things don't pass audio through very well in comparison to HDMI / possibly set up in one particular manner?

Research it a bit more but you should be fine as long as your processor is good enough to encode it at a high quality

Cheers, found out all i need to get is a few audio splitters and a headphone jack and should be fine with the audio
