In saying that though, I absolutely hate Laccazette this year. He has been hugely downgraded since last year and at the moment, players like Bakambu and Ben Yedder are far better and cheaper.

Use whatever you enjoy though and if you don't like the team I posted, use Gonalons or another tall CDM player for your current team. Don't buy Matuidi. Having three small midfielders, two of which being high/high would be a terrible midfield.

If you don't know how to use the 4-3-2-1, watch this video. I normally don't link these type of videos but Karasi is a Pro player, so I guess he's reliable.



The middle CM should act as a CDM and fall back to defend and the other two CMs should help play balls through towards the attack force and pass around the team. And Kante is certainly not the best CDM this year, Vidal or N-Zonzi are both better.

You can just fire random CMs in if you want but you'd be better off playing the formation with a holding CDM. Without a big CDM in midfield, you'll lose every single goal kick and the opposition will win all theirs. You're basically just losing possession for no reason in midfield, not to mention the amount of times you will be outstrengthed in midfield, and concede corners that don't need to be conceded.
