I had this idea of buying cheap PC parts to make low cost desktop computers, assemble the parts then sell the rig online for a bit of profit. But i'm wondering if it's an idea that'll work.
Before I start typing pointlessly here's my idea clearly:

.Buy all the simple essentials for a low end computer (no graphics cards probably) for around £50 - £100 altogether.

.Assemble the parts into a PC, and maybe install windows 10.

.Sell the build online for a bit more than I brought the orginal parts for.

But will people actually buy it is what I want to know... i'd appreciate if someone gave me their feedback.

This will not work, you're basically trying to scam people. People look these things up and <i dont think that just slapping a mediocre graphics card in some washed up IT guys PC will go over very well.

Do people buy pre built PCs often? Sure, but they look at specs before making a purchase.

edit- sorry I thought you said you would install a graphics cards idky, I've hq d a little to drink. even with that settled and just selling a rebuilt PC I dont think this would zork very well; why go with so,one who is nez to xo,outers and having q brand unkozn when q cutsomer can buy q pre built PC from q well known trusted brand ; you know what i mean? `

im typing on q< french keyboard and <i cant be bothered to fix typos sorry lol

I'm not trying to say that, I'm saying I'll build a PC that will be used by people who want to run simple applications like word and excel and email, not for people who want to game on the PC.

If youre building PC's for people who are only going to use if for things like word its going to be incredibly hard to market to them. There are plenty of people out there right now who would buy but they also arent the people who are going to be finding you online. Its doable i just dont know how youd be able to get the word out to people who would be interested

That's true.. I could always sweet-talk a local shop owner into letting me put an advert up in his window.

I also looked up a few prices on ebay, then remade the build in Pcpartpicker.

Original ( £ 585) [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

PCPartpicker ( £438 not including the extra charge) [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
I couldn't find their power supply so I think I may have added in a better one and it's still cheaper.
