Depends on what genre you like, but I can recommend some popular anime
-Re:Zero kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu
-Boku no Hero Academia
-Mob Psycho 100
-God Eater
-Steins;Gate
-Fate/stay night: Unlimited Blade Works
These are just a few of my favorites, but if you list your favorite genre I could better help you find an anime you like.

It depends what type of anime you like, i'd personally recommend death note. Thats more of a psychological mind-**** one. Tokyo Ghoul is pretty cool as well, it's about a race of human that eat others, like cannibals except they're a race.

When I first started watching anime I was into Shonen anime. Which is anime typically viewed from the age range of Elementary through High School. In return there's less complexity of plot.
