For a few months now since I started digging into Tesla, I've been in awe. I really, really want one of those cars. I think the whole concept is amazing and it's been made into a reality.
They can perform great for what they are, family sedans/SUV's. At the moment that performance has really only been tested on a drag strip but again, they're not sports car so imagine if they were to build an EV specifically designed for a track.
The amount of technology and safety features is also amazing, you can't tell me autopilot isn't an incredibly awesome feature.
Also, living in California and not having to pay for gas well... that speaks for itself.
What do you guys think? I know some people will say to hell with it because there's nothing quite like a loud 8 cylinder petrol engine but let's be honest, it's where the car world is moving.
Would love to hear some more perspectives on this, thanks!

I think Teslas are beautiful cars. Went to a mall that had a Tesla store inside it and was able to build a Tesla. Was an awesome experience. I have no issues with electric cars, but I hate the look of a prius, just a very ugly car.

I think of Tesla just like Mercedes. They're nice cars but do you really need all that? They put stuff in there just because they can, the one I looked at (I think model S?) had a touch screen than my computer...
I love Tesla's idea though, but you always hear about their extra technology going awol like the self park feature crashing the car.

I wish I had one, mainly for the auto pilot feature. To me that's amazing!

At the moment yeah, they are more like luxury cars with tons of options. But, there is the upcoming Model 3 which is aimed to be the affordable mass production model (Estimated at $25K-30K). Plus, that huge touch screen is a standard feature, so that's pretty cool too.

I like them. I'm not sold on the autopilot though. It's early development from that but I still don't think humans should kick it back while the car drives lol.
If you want autopilot get the **** bus lmao.

I would buy one, but I feel that with a car like that. You better drive it a good bit.
And my thing is that I dont drive enough to justify a purchase. I drive 20 minutes from my home to work and that's pretty much it.
