I am going through a debate as I need a new laptop/desktop for studying and recording so should I get a MacBook Pro (no other presents) or a different desktop or possibly laptop for £600 and get a TV also?

Once you go Mac you never go back.
I have a Macbook pro and i'm also saving for the desktop version. Love them so much.
Ease of use and comfort is at an all time high.

If you plan on recording music/games/commentary I highly recommend a desktop. Invest into a good GPU/CPU and a good sound card if you are doing music production. Mac is nice however. I have the latest Macbook Pro and love it, but cannot stand OSx to the point I got so bothered I installed Arch.

Thanks for feedback. It's going to be used every now and then to record videos. The main use for it will be studying as I have exams coming up next year. The recording will be gaming but when I say now and then I mean like hardly ever.

No I do not. I opted without it. However I will probably end up getting that model soon for reasons.

Do not get a Mac if you plan on gaming.

Personally I would go with the Desktop. I've got both but my desktop works like a million times faster then my macbook. The desktop is my gaming/editing/photoshop/netflix machine whereas the Macbook Pro is my Uni computer. Essays, Video Editing and light browsing. I tried gaming but it was shockingly bad at it.
My advice, get the Desktop for £600 then save again for a macbook pro
