i understood that but you ranting about it doesn't help anything , unless your just venting , no need to air it over the internet , talk to a friend about it, you ranting about it just shows that you need to be the bigger man about it, some kids just do not get it they take things for granted. thats why i explained that your dad works hard and lucky he gave either of you money I have been working since the age of 12 due to if i wanted something i had to work for it. just as my sisters and brothers had to .

I'm just venting. It's better than going in his room and beating his ass for being like that towards our father after he had tried doing something nice for us as some kids don't get that privilege of free money for doing absolutely nothing. It just made me mad how my brother just chose to be that way over free money someone has given him, and then making my dad feel terrible. I could tell it in his voice that my dad was hurt over the issue that my brother caused by yelling at him for my dad just wanting him to use 30$s of that money towards his spider. I wanted to just punch my brother straight in the face, but that would just cause more problems.

Alright man, but I'm gonna head to bed for a few hours as my dad would like to go out to eat later today with us. Thanks for clarifying what you were implying though, and understanding what I was meaning!

Well, did your dad say he could buy a game with the $65? If so then your brother is just being stubborn and feels like your dad should have kept his promise.
I wouldn't say that your brother is selfish or ungrateful, especially since he give your dad the money back. If he had of went away and bought the game without saying anything or giving the money back, that would have been a lot worse.
I wouldn't be so negative. Just because your brother doesn't value money in the same way as others doesn't make him selfish, I'd rather a brother that doesn't value money but would help me in a fight or risk his life for mine, than someone who values money but doesn't care about you.
Don't ask opinions online for this kind of thing. We don't know how much your parents earn, how old your brother is, how old you are and loads of other variables. $100 is a lot to some people and not a lot to others.

Back in my day my dad wouldn't hand me $100, he'd give me work for the next week and I'd see $50 if I was lucky lol.
