this is nice man, i like th idea your going for, but i wouldn't have used the green it throws everything off. what i would do would use a darker text with a faint white outline and a small drop shadow, id use this font (its free) [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] then try and make a dark stye maybe use a grey to black gradient. the way i would do it is:

use this brush [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] like the full square one, then put a layer mask on the text and use the brush tool to go over it then maybe lower the opacity of the layer mask, this gives a really cool grunge look like this.https://fredhh.carbonmade.com/projects/5886000 (the bottom one)

this took me a long time to learn how to do and it is now my fav style, ik its a bit of a mouthful but its is VERY useful for later use

The green text takes away from the actual banner itself, it just doesnt blend well.
