Sounds like OP made his decision, but I wanted to clarify something with turbos. A twin turbo diesel truck is not meant to be a race truck, they are meant for towing so if you feel turbo lag you're using your truck wrong lol.
A proper setup would be to have a small turbo and a big one (in a twin turbo setup). This way at low RPMs the small one will spool up and get you to where you need to be for the big one to kick in without lag or with minimal lag.

Superchargers sound extremely mean. And they do run on a belt. Turbos do not run on belts and sometimes they have extremely bad lag. I would have to say to just supercharge it.
