I posted this on reddit, but I don't seem to be getting responses, so I'll post it here.

Looking for a gaming monitor. I have around a $250 budget, but I can go up to around $280 if there's a better monitor.

I mainly play sports games, like MLB The Show and NHL, and some shooters like Battlefield and Call Of Duty.

I'd also like the monitor to have a headphone jack, and have speakers too.

I'd prefer the monitor be no smaller than 24"

EDIT: I'll be using a PS4 to play also

Thanks for the help!

Which one out of the two 27" monitors would you recommend? As I said, I play sports and shooter games.

No worries personally id go for the BenQ all the way. The Aoc has 1440p but you wont be able to use 1440p with the ps4
There is a Samsung monitor that you could get also which i missed before.

Those are all bad choices. The 3 1080p monitors are all incredibly over-priced. $250 for a 1080p monitor is ridiculous. As for the 1440p AOC monitor, you can get a nicer 1440p monitor for the same price or less. Paying any more than $120 for a 1080p monitor is entirely unnecessary.

OP- Not sure if you're using this for a PC and a console, or only for a console? If you're just using it for a console, there's no reason to get anything other than 1080p, so this;

You have two other choices for your budget though;

Also, get some proper speakers;

Those AV32's at Best Buy are a steal. You can get the more expensive speakers(AV32) and the 1080p or ultrawide monitor within budget. If you get the 1440p monitor, you might not be able to get speakers right now, or maybe get the cheaper ones(MB42's).

I'll just be using the monitor for PS4.

So the AOC monitor and the $87 speakers are better than the BenQ?

Like I said, I play sports and shooter games.

For sure just get the $105 AOC monitor I suggested. That will be plenty fine for a PS4. Yeah, I'd get the AV32's from Best Buy for $90, so you'll get a nice monitor and speakers for less than $200.

You'll need to do some messing about to use the speakers on your PS4 though. You'll need to buy one of these;

run it from your PS4, in to this;

and then run these;

from the converter to the speakers.

Depends on the budget, currency, etc. I don't really keep up to date on curved monitors personally. Maybe something like this;
