Today when I was playing one of my games my monitor lost signal, so I went to restart my computer then it wouldn't turn back on so I reset all the wires still didn't work. It powers on when the CPU wire isn't plugged in. I haven't made any changes to my PC in like the last 6 months, I have a 20% over clock on the CPU which was a setting in the bios.
Specs:
MOBO - Asus sabertooth z170 s
GPU - MSI r9 390
CPU - i7-6700
CPU cooler - DEEPCOOL Gamer Storm CAPTAIN 240 CPU Liquid Cooler white
RAM - CORSAIR Vengeance LPX 16GB (4 x 4GB) 288-Pin DDR4

Well to me that seems like a cpu issue i would remove the CPU and check for damage if not i think it is fried you should be able to take it to a pc store and get it checked before buying a new one

I would also check to make sure the motherboard isn't shorting out by completely removing it and making sure all the standoffs are placed correctly

if the cpu is fine get the motherboard checked at the pc store

But i assume its a cpu issue

You can also just trying to boot it outside the case

I don't took the Mobo out and tried to boot it got the same problem, but luckily I remembered I still have my old CPU and Mobo and I hooked up everything to that and it works, so I guess your right it's the CPU :/

Check the connections for any dirt build up.
