A brief paragraph about the game:

Days Gone is an open-world action-adventure game set two years after a devastating global pandemic. Play as Deacon St. John, a bounty hunter facing a brutal struggle for survival, searching for a reason to live.

Based on the video you're going to see below, Days Gone looks like a very eye catching, very intense and very solid open-world zombie/survival game all running on the power of the PS4 and Unreal engine 4.



My personal thoughts:
I know it's still early and we don't have much to go on, but I think "Days Gone" will be a game that will have the best of both worlds. Meaning more than just a typical arcade(ish) zombie kill-fest (Dead Rising, Dead Island, etc.). I think this game will stand out from the rest of the other zombie games because I believe it'll have a great, compelling story and maybe even have an emotional toll on the player? It also looks to have VERY intense gameplay. Especially with the amount of zombies on screen at once! Plus, with the way you can use the environment around you to evade/slow down the zombies.

Anyway, that's just a little of what I know and my two cents about the PS4 exclusive "Days Gone". Hopefully we'll hear more about this game in the future, since at the moment there isn't a set release date. Though, if I had to guess I'd say Q4 2017/Q1 2018.
