yes you can you can either make them refund the cost or give you the day. more than likely they will give you the time as they do not like to take the money out of their pocket or the companies profits to pay for their screw up. you could even give them the bill stating that they will have to reimbursed for the missed time make sure that the manager signs it LOL she wont but it would be easier to go above her head and just get the time.
