Hi guys/girls.
I recently got a exhaust system put on my car and I used to clean my car weekly, now ive stopped that and haven't cleaned it so much and ive started to realise these black dots on my rear bumper and they wont come off just using a standard wash and wax mix etc.
so ive done some research found out its apparently "soot" but I would like some other opinions if other people have had this and how they rid of it.

If it's not coming off with standard wash, that tells me it's not soot. Also soot usually doesn't come in little black dots, it's usually a haze (like you'll see a lot of older diesel trucks, or at the top of the exhaust of diesel trucks). If it's black dots, that tells me it's road tar. Get some bug and tar remover and go to work on it. It should come off easy if you have good wax on your car, but if you don't wax your car at least once every 6 months it'll be difficult. Remember that after you use the bug and tar remover, you have to wax that area (make sure every bit of dirt is gone).

I have a similar problem, I get little tiny black dots on my roof and sometimes down the sides of the cars. They never come off with usual car cleaner even when scrubbing hard.. As 002 said, bug and tar remover is the only thing that will get it off easier.
