Donald has appointed Jeff Sessions as Attorney General. This means that the federal government is going to crack down on states with legal weed, making that another promise that Donald has broken before even taking office.
He has now appointed Mike Pompeo to be the CIA Director, someone who had close ties with the Koch Brothers since they funded his congressional bids. So much for "drain the swamp".

It's hilarious how he is going back on everything he promised during his campaign.
I don't mind that he's doing this, he's actually turned out to be a lot more reasonable on a lot of his most stupid promises, but it's hilarious because all of the hugely pro-Trump people who defended every word he said throughout his campaign and argued in favor of his completely over the top promises should now be having a political identity crisis because apparently even Trump disagrees with these people's positions.
For example:
Waterboard terrorists and torture them even if it doesn't work?
I must have had at least 10 Trump supporters tell me how this was a great policy over the course of his campaign. Now Trump decides that's not a good idea at all and isn't even going to waterboard terrorists.
Good job you deep political thinkers, the candidate you argued in favor of doesn't even agree with you.
A little bit of advice for the next election: Don't argue for the person, argue for their policies and don't just agree with everything they say because they said it.

I'm not trying to cause a flame war or anything, but isn't it very possible he's just "playing nice" until he's inaugurated where he could easily do another 180 and go back to how he was during the campaign?

Of course it's possible, it wouldn't be the first time he's lied to get leverage.
Edit: obviously I have to expand on this a little bit because people don't seem to understand words.
If Trump has changed his tune until he is actually in office then he is lying about his motivations. Saying something but meaning something else is the definition of lying.
He isn't doing this for kicks. He is doing it for leverage to get some people on his side before he enters office.
If he enters office and switches back to everything he said during his campaign then he will have proved that he was lying during this interim and he would only switch back in order to get the leverage of people who aren't politically savvy being confused about what they think about him.
Hence: "It wouldn't be the first time he has lied to get leverage."
Words. It helps if you understand them.

How do you feel about being conned by the "drain the swamp' message?
