I listened to his album last night .... that was really weird & awkward, it reminded me of the Kendrick Lamar Album & I like when artists try new things... but this in my opinion just flopped , what do you guys think??

This is my opinion of it:

As an avid rap fan, I am mildly disappointed. I waited 3 years for another Childish Gambino album and it ended up not being rap. Expecting rap, I did not care for his album.

As a music fan, it is a piece of art. He is trying new things and if you enjoy that genre of music, it was great. As a music fan, it was a good album.

As I said in the beginning though, I was very disappointed it wasn't a rap album, but Gambino truly showed he is an artist with this album. It just wasn't for me though.

I really like the album doesn't beat Camp but still an amazing album not disappointed at all. But I wasn't expecting any rap after "Me and your Mama" was released. Don't think the aim of the album was supposed to be commercial anyway so I don't think it flopped.
He still hasn't released a song I haven't enjoyed listening to.

Gotta be an avid fan of music and artistic music to enjoy what Gambino and other evolving artists put out.
